This Video of a Somali Girl Graduating is Making Us Cry Serious Tears of Joy
Hey everyone it’s Friday. We’re already feeling the weekend vibes and the only thing we want slammed into our eyeballs is a hefty dose of joy, happiness, good-not-bad stuff, and anything else that makes us want to grab the closest person and shout ‘EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE OK’.
So we were extremely gassed this morning when we came across a 10 second video on Twitter that’s doing absolute gangbusters in the realm of RTs and <3’s, but also flying into the galaxy of pure emosh…ons.
Check it out:
Mama you ran from a civil war so I could be safe & get the education you didn’t. Today you cried when you saw me in my robe. Did it for you? pic.twitter.com/BKva3yUbTG

As you can see, it shows Twitter user Ramla Tyrow hugging her mother during her graduation ceremony. The family are Somali, and the mother escaped civil war in the country to provide a better life for her children.
No YOU’RE crying.
Why are we whacking this into a blog? Because mothers are the best and they will literally risk their lives to make ours better. On top of this, a moment like this reminds us of how we should be thankful for everything we have, all the time.
Get out there, hug your loved ones, and remember those who are striving for a better life.
PEACE.
