All things Muslim - incredible stories & positive vibes

Ramadan Gains: Shazia Hossen

It’s our favorite time of the week again where we celebrate the individuals giving back to their communities. Our third shout-out of our Ramadan series goes to Shazia, better known as Shazfit.

Shazia is a personal trainer giving back in a different way. We all know that our bodies are an amanah, that’s why Shazia’s work as a personal trainer is all the more meaningful.

Islam puts a big emphasis on treating our bodies with respect; this means, not only nourishing it with faith but also in the food we consume and the way we take care of our bodies. With part of Ramadan being about this emphasis, we think Shazia’s feature is pretty fitting, don’t you?

Determined to break the myths around women and strength, Shazia is set to change the game when it comes to the role of women in the fitness space.

Shazia is all about body positivity and encourages all women to lead an active and healthy lifestyle with no barriers. After struggling to find affordable modest workout clothes, Shazia took things into her own hands and launched her own modest sportswear line. If that’s not inspiring, we don’t know what is!

Continuously inspiring Muslim women to see beyond barriers, Shazia doesn’t just talk the talk – she walks it. After catching the eye of Nike, Shazia was approached by the team to become the UK’s first hijabi ambassador for the Nike Pro Hijab!

Encouraging women to become the very representatives they wish to see, Shazia is certainly a breath of fresh air.

Using her love for fitness for even more good, Shazia has recently partnered with Spot Project; an amazing charity helping underprivileged and vulnerable children in The Gambia and surrounding areas.

Shazia will be using the proceeds from her Ramadan eBook to provide football boots for orphans. With every e-Book purchased, a child gets a brand-new pair of boots.

Sadaq comes in many forms and Shazia is a great example of that.

To keep up with Shazia, you can find her on the gram.
