In many ways, the internet is a bottomless trash pile of awful opinions where the absolute worst aspects of humanity are allowed to gestate in their own depressing awfulness. It’s a laugh, right?!
In many other ways, this horrendous online hellscape of fake news and misinformation does sometimes give way to other, better things – positive things, things that make you think, ‘you know what? Perhaps the internet is a pretty cool place after all’.

Here at Ummahsonic, we do our utmost best to highlight the most fire bloggers, vloggers, Snapchatters, YouTubers and Linkedin-ers (lol/jk not Linkedin-ers) that are making serious waves on the web. Thanks to the internet, super talented Muslims have created platforms that they may have not been able to build through more traditional forms of media, like telly, claymation or wireless radio.
So if we want laughs, we don’t switch on the TV, we follow guys like Chunkz on Snapchat. If we want young Muslims talking about the issues that affect them, we subscribe to their channels on YouTube. And if we want razor-sharp and hilarious comedy about your over-concerned auntie, we hit up our favourite accounts for halal memes.
