Power Ranking The Freshest Outfits of Eid al-Adha
Unless you’ve been living under a rock recently, or deliberately avoiding all mention of dates in a desperate attempt to convince yourself that summer is not actually coming to an end, you’ll have noticed that today is a pretty important day in the Islamic calendar.
In fact, right about now (and depending on what time zone they live in) 1.6 billion Muslims are gearing themselves up to celebrate Eid, spend time with family and friends, consume vast quantities of meat, and do their bit for the local community.
And whilst that’s all very admirable and important, we thought we’d spend our time trawling the internet to help you navigate one of the more difficult aspects of Eid-al-Adha; dressing to impress when you’ve eaten so much that all you want to do is wrap yourself in a tent, hide in a corner and pretend to be engrossed in conversation with your nearest auntie so you can respectfully ignore any further offerings of your mother’s oh-so-special Biryani.
So in the interest of saving your food-befuddled brain from doing any thinking (we can’t believe we’re actually complaining about over-eating, when only two months ago we were dribbling onto our keyboards in anticipation of Iftar) we thought we’d pull together some of our favorite food-accommodating Eid looks from around the world:
So while you’re busy thinking about your commitment to Allah, reveling in your devotion to your family and friends, and generally trying to be a good person, why let us know about your freshest Eid looks? You can tag us on Instagram or post your outfits in the comments.
Eid Mubarak to you all and have a great weekend!
