Everything That Goes Through Your Mind on New Year’s Eve

New Year’s Eve. It’s loud, it’s brash, it’s vastly overrated; and even if you lock yourself in the cupboard you’re bound to hear it.

With this in mind, let’s countdown (sorry) every thought that will go through your head on the evening of the 31st. Starting with…

“Should actually I do something for NYE?”

“Maybe I’ll go to my friend’s party?”

“No, stay in and eat food.”

“There’s always way too much hype about NYE anyway.”

“True, so I should stay in and eat food.”

“No! I hear those fireworks are gonna be crazy.”

“Wait. Is New Year’s Eve haram?”

“Only if you pay £40 to go clubbing.”

“True. Nothing wrong with watching fireworks and staying up late.”

“Especially if I promise to go to mosque tomorrow. Start the year off right.”

“Fireworks it is.”

“Although…that couch is looking pretty tempting.”
