All things Muslim - incredible stories & positive vibes

Meet the Young Muslim Artist(s) You Need to Follow on Instagram

Do you ever feel a bit deja-vu when you’re scrolling through Instagram? As if the same selfies, memes and #TBT’s keep rushing up your screen, again and again, as you aimlessly search for a new account to follow?

Maybe it’s because the UmmahSonic team spends too much time on our phones, but we certainly do. So over the past week, we’ve been scouring the ‘gram in a concerted effort to freshen up our feeds – and not with meme-makers who all recycle the same posts. We’ve been looking for young Muslim artists, illustrators, creators, and all-round geniuses who are doing IG differently.

To kick things off, we want to introduce you to the work of Areeba Siddique, an artist/blogger/vlogger/incredibly talented teen from Pakistan, whose Instagram is a trove of vibrant, unreasonably cool illustrations. We’ll be showcasing more young Muslim artists as and when we discover them, but for now, check out some of Areeba’s work below:
