At Ummahsonic towers, we love a bit of shopping. We can never have enough clothes, and while high street brands often cater for those of us who like to be modest, it’s not always so easy. All of this is about to change though when one of the world’s best modest wear brands teams up with Debenhams!
London fashion house Aab, which started in 2007, has aced it when it comes to changing people’s views on ‘modest wear’. Founder Nazmin Alim explains that over the past 10 years, Aab has become “a label that redefined modest fashion and one that caters for everyday modern wardrobe staples that are thoughtfully designed with the highest quality.”
Aab also have boutiques in London and Bradford, with a huge fan base and a large following.
High street giant Debenhams caught on and have decided to collaborate with Aab, with a collection launching in May in their Oxford St store, and across the Middle East and Asia Pacific. The collection will then be rolled out to other stores in the UK, including the Bullring in Birmingham, Westfield in Shepherd’s Bush and the Trafford Centre in Manchester and Leicester.
With modest wear gaining so much attention recently and becoming one of the fastest growing styles in the fashion industry, it’s estimated that modest wear will be worth more than £200 billion by 2020. WOWZERS!
Aab’s collection includes abayas, colourful kimonos, silky shirt dresses, pastel long sleeve tops and gorgeous accessories. We just can’t wait to get our hands on it all!
With London hosting the first ever Modest Fashion week at the Saatchi Gallery this month featuring 40 modest fashion brands, and with all these exciting collections and collaborations around modest wear and catering for Muslim women, we could not be more excited!
