Meet our roving reporters: Persephone Rizvi

Persephone Rizvi came to Islam seven months ago, so will be giving a first-hand account on what it’s like to celebrate Ramadan for the first time. Having grown up in a Christian household, her slant on the Holy Month will be coming from a different perspective to many. Based in Manchester she is a broadcasting student and a television and radio presenter, and has produced documentaries as part of her degree and for her YouTube Channel.

She aspires to be an international presenter working on specialist factual programming, and over the last five years has gained extensive experience across TV and radio as a researcher and editor and has also won national awards for her presenting skills. For Radio Ramadan she is gearing herself up to undertake challenges and explore how British Muslims are celebrating Ramadan across the country.
